Heat the oven to 425 degrees. Cream together sugar and margarine. Dissolve the baking soda in the milk. Leaving out the flour, add all the other ingredients to the sugar and margarine. Once all creamed together, add flour. If the dough still sticky, add more flour. Roll dough out with a rolling pin (about 1/2 inch thick, they'll rise in the oven). Depending on the holiday or occasion, use festive cookie cutters and line your cut dough on a cookie sheet. Continue to re-roll the dough and cut until the dough is gone. Bake for 8-10 minutes.While the cookies bake, get out the cream cheese frosting and mix food coloring colors together (I usually have a bowl or two of different colors). When the cookies are done, allow them to cool so the frosting won't drip. You can add sprinkles as well!
