A Dwelling of Love From a Welling Who’s Loved

Week 30: July 29 – August 4. Acts 22 – 28

Week 30: July 29 – August 4. Acts 22 – 28

The Lesson:

This week, the Come, Follow Me for Individuals and Families manual asks us to read Acts 22 – 28. In the Latter Day Parables, Auggie asks Mom what he should base his testimony on. Mom finds a Testimony glove and goes over the five truths that are the foundation of our religion. She invites him to continue to develop his testimony in those five things.

Perhaps before the story, create a Testimony Glove with the pictures provided in the Quick Clicks below! Go to this Friend Magazine Article to see how the glove is created. Just like the glove Mom shows to Auggie, it shows the 5 truths we believe in! Glue or Velcro the pictures onto each finger. As the Friend article says, the truths are:

  1. I know that God is our Heavenly Father and He loves us.
  2. I know that His Son, Jesus Christ, is our Savior and Redeemer.
  3. I know that Joseph Smith is a prophet of God. He restored the gospel of Jesus Christ to the earth and translated the Book of Mormon by the power of God.
  4. I know that The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints is the Lord’s Church on the earth today (and its teachings will lead me to the temple).
  5. I know that this Church is led by a living prophet who receives revelation.
