Come, Follow Me: Book of Mormon. Week 22: Alma 5 – 7

The Lesson:

This week, the Come, Follow Me: Book of Mormon manual asks us to read Alma 5-7. In the Latter Day Parables, May feels like her heart might explode after listening to testimonies. Mom explains that May is feeling the Holy Ghost. The Holy Ghost can testify truth to us in many ways. Our testimonies grow stronger and stronger each time we feel the Holy Ghost testify to us.

Before reading the story, read Alma 5-7 and gain an understanding of it for yourself. Read Alma 5:44-48. What does that scripture say about the Holy Ghost? As you tell the Latter Day Parable, use the visuals provided in the Quick Clicks below. Ask your children to name different ways the Holy Ghost can “speak” to us. Aside from testifying, what other things can the Holy Ghost do for us? Explain that the Holy Ghost tells us when we are hearing the truth. Isn’t that cool? That’s how we can gain a testimony for ourselves!
