Come, Follow Me: Book of Mormon. Week 10: 2 Nephi 31 – 33

The Lesson:

This week, the Come, Follow Me: Book of Mormon manual asks us to read 2 Nephi 31 – 33. In the Latter Day Parables, Auggie gobbles up his pizza in a matter of seconds! Dad asks him what it would be like if Auggie would feast upon the scriptures just as enthusiastically as he feasts upon his pizza, just as it says in 2 Nephi 32:3. Auggie decides to try just that.

Before you read the story, read 2 Nephi 32:3 and gain an understanding for yourself in what it means. Display a Book of Mormon on a plate and talk to your children about their favorite foods. Explain that Auggie’s favorite food is pizza. He LOVES it. Read the story using the visuals provided below. After reading the story, point to the scriptures on a plate. Ask your children how they can feast upon the words of Christ. How can we be more interested and eager in reading the scriptures?
