Come, Follow Me: Book of Mormon. Week 5: 1 Nephi 16 – 22

The Lesson:

This week, the Come, Follow Me: Book of Mormon manual asks us to read 1 Nephi 16 – 22. In the Latter Day Parables, May asks her sister April about the Liahona. What is it? How does it work? Luckily, April remembers the stories from the Book of Mormon about the Liahona and tells May all about it.

Before reading the story, read 1 Nephi 16 – 18 to understand the Liahona so you can answer any questions your children might have about it. You can use pictures from the Gospel Art Library and the visuals provided for free in the Quick Clicks below to teach this lesson.

What You Need:

  1. Cut-outs of May and April and The Liahona. If you haven’t yet, download the free Original Latter Day Parables Family cut-outs to get your visuals for this week’s story. Print, cut out, and laminate the cut-outs and then store them in your Come, Follow Me: Book of Mormon Binder for future use. You can download The Liahona cut-out for free in the Quick Clicks below.
