A Dwelling of Love From a Welling Who’s Loved

Come, Follow Me: Book of Mormon. Week 32: Alma 53 – 63

Come, Follow Me: Book of Mormon. Week 32: Alma 53 – 63

The Lesson:

This week, the Come, Follow Me: Book of Mormon manual asks us to read Alma 53-63. In the Latter Day Parables, May is scared about her tonsil surgery. Though it’s okay to be afraid, Mom tells May that she can be like a stripling warrior. The stripling warriors didn’t doubt God would protect them. Because of their great faith, they were brave and courageous. May decides she wants to be like a stripling warrior too!

Before reading the story, read Alma 53-63 and gain an understanding of it for yourself. Why did the stripling warriors fight in their parent’s place? What did their fathers and their mothers do for them to help them gain faith in God? As you tell the Latter Day Parable, use the visuals provided in the Quick Clicks below. Explain to your children that when we have faith, we will have courage.
