Come, Follow Me: Book of Mormon. Week 19: Mosiah 18 – 24

The Lesson:

This week, the Come, Follow Me: Book of Mormon manual asks us to read Mosiah 18-24. In the Latter Day Parables, May and April talk about April’s upcoming baptism. April explains the meaning of a covenant. When we are baptized, we make a covenant with God.

Before reading the story, read Mosiah 18-24 and gain an understanding of it for yourself. As you tell the Latter Day Parable, use the visuals provided in the Quick Clicks below. You can explain to your children that when Alma baptized the people in the Waters of Mormon, he explained some things they promise to do. Read Mosiah 18:7-16 either with your family or before the lesson and go over the different things we promise to do when we are baptized (mourn with those who mourn, comfort those who need comfort, and stand as witnesses of God at all times and in all things, and in all places).
