The Lesson:
This week, the Come, Follow Me: Book of Mormon manual asks us to read Mosiah 1 – 3. In the Latter Day Parables, Auggie and Dad help a sister in their ward with her yard work. At first, Auggie complains and Dad is quick to remind him that “when ye are in the service of your fellow beings, ye are only in the service of your God.”
Make sure you read Mosiah 1 – 3 yourself first to gain an understanding of the scriptures. As you read this Latter Day Parable, use the visual puppets provided in the Quick Clicks below. Explain to your children that when you serve others, you are serving God. How does serving others make God feel? What can they do to serve others?
