The Lesson:
This week, the Come, Follow Me: Book of Mormon manual asks us to read 2 Nephi 26 – 30. In the Latter Day Parables, Auggie asks Dad what “line upon line, precept upon precept” means from the scripture 2 Nephi 28:30. Dad tells Auggie to think of a ladder when it says “line upon line.” And like a ladder, it means to take one step at a time. We will be given wisdom one step at a time from Heavenly Father.
Before reading the story provided, read 2 Nephi 28:30 and get an understanding for yourself. As you read the story, use the visuals provided in the Quick Clicks below. Use the cut-out of a ladder to show the lines on a ladder and explain that to get higher, you need to take one step at a time. This is how your child will be able to understand the concept of “line upon line.”
