Come, Follow Me: Book of Mormon. Week 38: 3 Nephi 12 – 16

The Lesson:

This week, the Come, Follow Me: Book of Mormon manual asks us to read 3 Nephi 12-16 In the Latter Day Parables, May hears about Jesus’ parable about the Wise Man and the Foolish Man and wonders why building a house on the sand is so bad. Dad explains that without a strong foundation, a house can be destroyed when a storm comes. He further explains that the parable talks about how we need to have strong testimonies. That way, when trials come our way, we will be able to hang on to our faith.

Before reading the story, read 3 Nephi 12-16 and gain an understanding of it for yourself. Specifically read 3 Nephi 14:24-27. What does the parable mean to you? As you tell the Latter Day Parable, use the visuals provided in the Quick Clicks below. After reading the story to your children, explain some core principles that can be the foundation of our testimony. For ideas, you can see the Five Truths Testimony lesson.
