A Dwelling of Love From a Welling Who’s Loved

Week 46: November 25 – December 1. 1 and 2 Peter

Week 46: November 25 – December 1. 1 and 2 Peter

The Lesson:

This week, the Come, Follow Me for Individuals and Families manual asks us to read 1 and 2 Peter. In the Latter Day Parables, May announces to Dad and Auggie that their neighbors are getting a divorce. The kids are shocked at the news because their son, Tate, has kept a positive disposition. Dad teaches them that finding joy and happiness can help us get through trials.

Before reading the story, read 1 Peter 3:14 and get an understanding for yourself of the scripture. With the visual puppets, read the story to your children. Talk about how it’s easier to get through hard times when we find ways to be happy. Gratitude is a huge way to stay positive.
