The Lesson:
This week, the Come, Follow Me for Individuals and Families manual asks us to read 1 and 2 Peter. In the Latter Day Parables, the family is waiting for Grandma and Grandpa to arrive. To pass time, Dad asks the kids what they’d do if it was Jesus knocking at the door. Mom and Dad explain to the kids that it’s up to us to let him in.
Before the story, read Revelation 3:20 and get an understanding of it for yourself. As you read the story, use the visual cut-outs. Ask your children what they would do if Jesus knocked at the door. Would they open the door? Explain that even if we make bad choices, Jesus loves us and wants us to invite Him in.
