In this week’s Come, Follow Me for Individuals and Families manual lesson, we read Matthew 3; Mark 1; and Luke 3. In the Latter Day Parables story for this same week, Auggie confesses to his mom that he cheated on a test. Mom doesn’t get angry. Instead, she uses this opportunity as a teaching moment and works with him through the repentance process. She shows him the scripture Matthew 3:2.
Teach your children the steps of repentance. Especially if they are young, try to be as simple as possible (We do something bad, we feel sad, we say sorry, we try to not do it again).
What you need:
- Auggie, Mom, Phone, and Matthew 3:2 Scripture Screen cut-outs. Print, color, cut, and laminate (for durability) the cut-outs to give the story a visual. Provided below is a PDF copy of the Matthew 3:2 Scripture Screen. The phone cut out has been used in previous lessons. If you haven’t printed out the phone or the original Latter Day Parables Family (Auggie and Mom), click here or on the link below. You can tape or Velcro the Scripture Screen to your phone cut-out. Store your cut-outs in a Come, Follow Me 2019 Binder for future use.
