This week’s topic from the Come, Follow Me for Individuals and Families manual is Luke 2; Matthew 2. In the Latter Day Parables, Auggie and his dad go on a hiking trip! Unbeknownst to Auggie, there’s danger lurking. Thankfully, the Holy Ghost prompts Dad and he acts upon the prompting. This is a great teaching moment for Dad. He uses examples from the scriptures to explain to Auggie what had happened. Discuss as a family the story of Joseph being visited by an angel to flee to Egypt in order to protect his family. Have there been times in your life where you or your family have been protected by God’s guidance? What physical and spiritual dangers do families face? What can we do to be protected further by God?
What you need:
