I am one who loves to keep things organized. You should see all the folders I have saved on my computer! Every document and picture has its place. So when I started printing out ideas (like Latter Day Parables) for my family to go along with “Come, Follow Me,” I decided I needed to create a binder. Fast.
Just like the “Come, Follow Me for Individuals and Families” manual, I organized my binder by months. Personally, I used Avery 8-tab Plastic Insertable Dividers and typed up the months on a template the Avery company provides for free. Click here if you have Avery Dividers and want to personalize your dividers. Below, I have a PDF printable document of the months that will fit the 8-tab dividers for you to use for free!
From there, I inserted sheet protectors for each week’s ideas I printed out. In my case, I have each week’s Latter Day Parables story in its own protector, along with the visuals that go with that week’s story. These stories thankfully have the date already typed at the top of the document, so it’s easier to know which story goes where.
One of the main reasons why I have a binder in the first place is because Latter Day Parables has reoccurring characters that need to be reused each week, and then some visuals that aren’t used as often. I store my Latter Day Parables Family in a sheet protector at the front of the binder so I’ll always know where to find them.
Now, every cute binder needs a cover! So I designed a simple one and inserted it in the front! And lucky for you, I am providing a free PDF copy for you to download and print yourself for your own binders!
What ideas have you been using for this year’s Come, Follow Me curriculum? Every family is different and there are so many wonderful resources and ideas available to use! Just make sure you keep everything organized!
