A Dwelling of Love From a Welling Who’s Loved

Week 26: July 1 – 7. Acts 1 – 5

Week 26: July 1 – 7. Acts 1 – 5

The Lesson:

This week, the Come, Follow me for Individuals and Families manual asks us to read Acts 1-5. In the Latter Day Parables, Auggie and May lie about eating the cookies and blame it on June. Mom tells them the story of Ananias and Sapphira. They lied to Peter and they fell dead. Heavenly Father is not happy when we lie. Auggie and May chose to tell the truth and went to bake more cookies.

Part of me wanted to title this story “Lie and Die,” as that’s exactly what happened to Ananias and Sapphira, but I assumed that would be too morbid of a title. Haha! As a family, read the story of Ananias and Sapphira in Acts 5: 1-11. Explain to your children that they will not die if they choose to tell a lie, but Heavenly Father will be unhappy with their choice. Tell them why it’s important to be honest.
