A Dwelling of Love From a Welling Who’s Loved

Week 39: September 30 – October 13. Ephesians

Week 39: September 30 – October 13. Ephesians

The Lesson:

This week, the Come, Follow Me for Individuals and Families manual asks us to read Ephesians. In the Latter Day Parables, Mom asks June to stay close to her as they walk across the parking lot. Distracted, June runs away and almost gets hit by a car! Mom pulls June aside and explains how important it is for us to obey our parents. Our parents want to keep us safe and want to help us learn and grow.

Use the Mom and June visuals as you tell the story. After reading the story, you can share your experiences or an experience of your child where obedience helped keep someone safe. Explain that obeying your parents is a commandment given to us from Heavenly Father. As parents, we want what’s best for our children. Because we have learned from our own experiences in our lives, we see the bigger picture and aim to help guide our children along the way.
