Come, Follow Me: Book of Mormon. Week 33: Helaman 1 – 6

The Lesson:

This week, the Come, Follow Me: Book of Mormon manual asks us to read Helaman 1-6. In the Latter Day Parables, Auggie and Dad go on a hike. Listening to a prompting from the Holy Ghost, Dad stops Auggie. Just ahead is a rattlesnake, hidden by the rocks! Dad explains to Auggie that the Holy Ghost will warn or prompt us, as long as we make good choices.

Before reading the story, read Helaman 1-6 and gain an understanding of it for yourself. Read Helaman 5:29-30, 45-47. What do those scriptures say about the Holy Ghost? As you tell the Latter Day Parable, use the visuals provided in the Quick Clicks below. Explain to your children that the Holy Ghost speaks to those who make good choices. When we make bad choices, we don’t have the spirit with us.
