Come, Follow Me: Book of Mormon. Week 34: Helaman 7 – 12

The Lesson:

This week, the Come, Follow Me: Book of Mormon manual asks us to read Helaman 7-12. In the Latter Day Parables, Auggie asks Mom why it’s important to remember God. Mom relates remembering God to remember where the keys to the car are. If we forget where we put the keys, we can’t drive our car. When we forget God, we forget His blessings and make bad choices. We are unable to move forward and progress during our time on earth.

Before reading the story, read Helaman 7-12 and gain an understanding of it for yourself. Read Helaman 7:20. What ways can we remember God? As you tell the Latter Day Parable, use the visuals provided in the Quick Clicks below. You can show your own car keys and explain that cars help us move forward, but we need to keys to get the car started. We need to remember God so we can return to Him someday.
