The Lesson:
This week, the Come, Follow Me: Book of Mormon manual asks us to read Ether 1-6. In the Latter Day Parables, Mom tells June that we are created in the image of God. She explains that the Brother of Jared saw the finger of Jesus. Then Jesus showed himself to the Brother of Jared and said that all men were created in His image.
Before reading the story, read Ether 1-5 and gain an understanding of it for yourself. Specifically read Ether 3:13, 15. Why did Jesus show Himself to the Brother of Jared? As you tell the Latter Day Parable, use the visuals provided in the Quick Clicks below. Have your children point to different parts of their body and explain that Heavenly Father and Jesus have bodies just like ours!

- Cut-outs of Mom and June. If you haven’t yet, download the free Original Latter Day Parable Family cut-outs for this week’s story. Print, cut out, and laminate the cut-outs and then store them in your Come, Follow Me: Book of Mormon Binder for future use.
