A Dwelling of Love From a Welling Who’s Loved

Come, Follow Me: Book of Mormon. Week 45: Ether 6 – 11

The Lesson:

This week, the Come, Follow Me: Book of Mormon manual asks us to read Ether 6 – 11. In the Latter Day Parables, May has a bad dream and Mom explains that Heavenly Father can comfort us when we are scared.

This is a recycled story from Come, Follow Me: New Testament lessons. Click here to access this story.

Before reading the story, read Ether 6-11 and gain an understanding of it for yourself. Read Ether 6:2-12. The Lord kept the Jaredites safe as they traveled across the ocean. Ask your children about a time when they felt scared. No one likes to feel afraid. It’s kind of like a scary storm. We want to feel happiness, like the sun! As an activity, show the storm visual to the children and together, sing a primary song that makes them feel happy. My daughter loves to sing “I am a Child of God.” Very slowly during the song, put down the storm visual and bring out the sun. You can try with multiple songs. If we invite the spirit through song, we won’t be scared anymore!
