A Dwelling of Love From a Welling Who’s Loved

Come, Follow Me: Book of Mormon. Week 46: Ether 12 – 15

This week, the Come, Follow Me: Book of Mormon manual asks us to read Ether 12-15. In the Latter Day Parables, a classmate tells May that Jesus isn’t real. She turns to Mom for answers. Mom tells May about Thomas, an apostle of Jesus, who chose to not believe that Jesus had risen. He would only believe if he saw Jesus himself. When Jesus appears, he says, “Blessed are they that have not seen, and yet have believe.” Faith is believing in things that can’t be seen. Mom convinces May that we must have faith in Jesus.

This is a recycled story from Come, Follow Me: New Testament lessons. Click here to access this story.

Before reading the story, read Ether 12-15 and gain an understanding of it for yourself. Read Ether 12:6-22. What examples does Moroni give about faith? Explain to your children that we can have faith in things we cannot see. What things can you have faith in that you can’t see (I have a heart, I have a brain, I have love for you, etc.)?
