A Dwelling of Love From a Welling Who’s Loved

Come, Follow Me: Book of Mormon. Week 35: Helaman 13 – 16

The Lesson:

This week, the Come, Follow Me: Book of Mormon manual asks us to read Helaman 13-16. In the Latter Day Parables, Auggie and May talk about how brave Samuel the Lamanite was when he testified of Jesus Christ. Dad explains that our prophet today is just as brave to stand at the pulpit in front of millions of people and declare Jesus Christ as our savior. If we follow the prophet, we will be blessed.

Before reading the story, read Helaman 13-16 and gain an understanding of it for yourself. How are our latter day prophets like Samuel the Lamanite? Show a picture of Samuel to your children and tell the story about him standing at the wall. What did he talk about while he was up on the wall? As you tell the Latter Day Parable, use the visuals provided in the Quick Clicks below. Also provide a picture of our living prophet. Explain to your children that just like Samuel, our prophet asks us repent, testifies of Christ, and invites us to come unto Him.
