A Dwelling of Love From a Welling Who’s Loved

Come, Follow Me: Book of Mormon. Week 36: 3 Nephi 1 – 7

Come, Follow Me: Book of Mormon. Week 36: 3 Nephi 1 – 7

The Lesson:

This week, the Come, Follow Me: Book of Mormon manual asks us to read Nephi 1-7. In the Latter Day Parables, Auggie wonders how the Nephites and Lamanites knew Jesus Christ was on the earth. Dad explains that there were signs that prophets had told them to look for. However, though we weren’t there during Christ’s ministry on earth, the Holy Ghost can testify to us that the scriptures and accounts of Christ are true.

Before reading the story, read 3 Nephi 1-7 and gain an understanding of it for yourself. What signs showed of Jesus Christ’s birth? You can show a picture of His birth. Point out the star in the sky as that was one of the signs. As you tell the Latter Day Parable, use the visuals provided in the Quick Clicks below. How can your children know Jesus Christ’s ministry on earth happened without seeing signs like a start or a bright night? Explain that they can pray to know and listen to the Holy Ghost testify.
