The Lesson:

This week, the Come, Follow Me for Individuals and Families manual asks us to read 1 Corinthians 1-7. In the Latter Day Parables, June colors all over her body with a marker. Uh-oh! As Mom and May clean her up, they tell June that her body is a temple. The temple should be kept clean, like our bodies. If our bodies are yucky, the Holy Ghost won’t want to come visit. June decides she wants to be pretty and clean like a temple.

As you read the story, provide a picture of the temple. If you would like to use a picture of the family temple, click here. Every temple is listed along with several pictures to go with it. Otherwise, you can use the picture of the Salt Lake City Temple provided in the Quick Clicks below.

A possible activity idea is to trace the children’s hands on paper, laminate the paper, and color all over the hand with wet erase markers. Compare the scribbled-on hand to a picture of the temple and explain that the temple is clean. With a wet paper towel, clean off the marker from the hand.
