The Lesson:
This week, the Come, Follow Me for Individuals and Families manual asks us to read Matthew 26, Mark 14, Luke 22, and John 18. In the Latter Day Parables, May has a lot of questions about the sacrament and Dad tries to answer them for her.
As you read the story, show your children a picture of Jesus (preferably one of Gethsemane). Tell them about the sacrifice Jesus made for us. As you talk about the sacrament, provide a picture of the first sacrament and modern day sacrament. We take the bread and the water to remember Jesus’ sacrifice for us.
After reading the story, come up with some ideas on how to remember Jesus during the sacrament. You could provide coloring pages of Jesus, have a children’s book of Jesus, or have them look through the pictures of Jesus in the LDS Gospel Art Book. Once you have a list, have your children watch the video provided below.
