The Lesson:
This week, the Come, Follow Me for Individuals and Families manual asks us to read 1 and 2 Thessalonians. In the Latter Day Parables, Auggie wants to know when Jesus will come again. Mom explains that like the birth of a baby, we don’t know when Jesus will arrive, but it’s very important to be prepared for His arrival.
As you read the story, use the Mom and Auggie visuals. Ask your children if they remember when their Mom was pregnant with their baby brother or sister. A lot of preparation had to come first before the baby arrived. Those who are not prepared for the Savior’s second coming will suffer, so it’s important to continue to make good choices and repent when we make bad choices.
