A Dwelling of Love From a Welling Who’s Loved

Fall Tiered Tray

Fall Tiered Tray

Does anyone else get really excited when September comes around? I happened to be very happy about changing my decor to fall; because for some strange reason, I have no home decor for the time between 4th of July through September. That needs to change. What should I do for July and August decor? Lemons? Beach? Regardless, I was excited to take down my 4th of July decorations and set up my collection of pumpkins the moment the calendar said “September.”

Don’t be afraid to keep using green plants in your decor. Sometimes a lot of orange can be a bit much. Choose a color scheme. I tried to stay with green, orange, white and black. It’s not necessarily a rule, but having plants and greenery on your tiered tray really lightens up the room. Find a plant (preferably fake so you don’t get constant water on your tray) that can stay on your tray. I like keeping a mug with plants inside on the top of the tray and will change the mug according to the season or the holiday.

I always recommend mixing it up. Don’t have all wordsy decor and don’t have just a bunch of trinkets. Add a frame with a favorite quote or a tiny ceramic pumpkin. And always mix up the heights. Having different heights is actually more pleasing to the eye. If you need more height, tray finding old chapter books like I did here.

Happy Fall , Y’all!
