Come, Follow Me: Latter Day Parables
Having two small children myself, teaching gospel principles can be… difficult. If I’m reading straight from the scriptures, my toddler will run away. She’s not quite at the age where she can sit and simply listen. I have found that using visuals, particularly “puppets” (or colored cardstock cut outs haha), have kept my toddler entertained enough to listen to the story and the lesson in it. For my children, I have written short stories of a family that have “today’s world” experiences that relate to the New Testament. Along with the stories, I have illustrated a Latter Day Parables family and other “props” to go with each story! Each week goes along with The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints’ Come, Follow Me: New Testament curriculum. Click the links below to follow along throughout the year and actually teach your toddlers some gospel lessons this year!
